Duplex

Chez Flora sleeping 8 is a brand new 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, south facing Duplex apartment. Chez Flora gives you the chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life by escaping to the unspoilt Swiss village of St Luc in the Val d’Anniviers.

Region

St Luc is a village in the Valais canton in the South of Switzerland with spectacular views of the Matterhorn and the Couronne Imperiale – five mountain peaks over 4000 metres. It is named after the latin for light (lux) and it is one of the sunniest villages in Switzerland.

Activities

St Luc is a traditional Swiss ski resort where thanks to Swiss efficiency and hospitality little has changed over many years. Verbier, Crans Montana, Zermatt it is not – but if you want skiing up to 3 000 metres with traditional mountain restaurants, friendly people, an unbeatable panorama of the highest mountains in the Alps – then this is the place for you.

  1. “Val d'Anniviers: a secret valley on the verge of stardom”

    The Telegraph December 2013
  2. “I’ve tried swapping the sharp elbows of Verbier or Chamonix, say, with off-piste havens of quieter renown: Andermatt, Alta, La Grave. But success there, too, has been fleeting. It was easy to imagine I was cursed until, last month, I visited a place where the snow was so abundant, the cobbled streets and chalets so beautiful, and the competition so thin that fellow skiers begged me not to repeat its name”

    The Independent February 2013
  3. “Val d’Anniviers – a sleepy valley that runs south off the main Rhône valley. It’s only 110km from the centre of Geneva and yet, until the 1950s, people in the Val d’Anniviers were still nomadic, moving with their animals up to the high pastures in summer, then back down the valley towards the Rhône in winter.”
